I Saw the Lighthouse

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Seahorse Key lighthouse was built in 1854. It’s the highest point on the Western Florida coast,” the woman said, leading the tour group like little-Hitler.

She was an uptight lady, with short cropped hair, who took her job very seriously.

“Folks,” she said. “Legend has it that this lighthouse is haunted by the ghost of Mr. Willie Wilson, the light house’s first keeper.”

I leaned over to the guy next to me and whispered.

“You sir, in the back,” she pointed to me. “You have something to say about the ghost of Mr. Willie Wilson?”

“Um. No ma’am.”

“Please,” she folded her arms. “Won’t you share your comment with the rest of the group.”

“Well,” I said. “I was only saying that I really liked his song ‘Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain.'”
