You probably didn’t hear about it. But yesterday, God visited earth.

Contrary to what you’ve heard, God is a big fan of people. He’s a huge fan. In fact, that’s why he came.

His visit was an under-the-radar thing. It was non-publicized. God wasn’t in it for press.

First, he came to Birmingham, Alabama. Of all places.

He stepped into a sleepy hospital corridor last night, and wandered the aisles barefoot. He stopped in the room of a little girl with terminal brain cancer.

The little girl was sleeping. He touched her bald little head. She never even knew he was there. All she knew was that she was dreaming of “angels and stuff.”

When the little girl awoke, something wonderful had happened. Something almost too impossible to believe.

Her mother was seated beside her bed. Asleep in her chair. The little girl sat upright. She stretched her arms. She yawned. She remarked how good she felt. Doctors checked her out. They couldn’t believe she felt “good.”

Because for the last six months, the child has felt like heck. For the last six months, the little girl has been dying. But today, something had shifted. All the treatments. All the therapy. Something was working.

Turns out, the scans the doctor sent away had come back all clear. The child okay. Not just a-little-bit okay. She is totally fine. No traces of cancer. Not a single bit. This child will live.

“My baby will live,” said her mother.

After that, God went to Oklahoma City. It’s not clear how he got there. Maybe he took a Greyhound. Maybe he flew. Maybe God doesn’t take public transportation. Maybe he just did the Star Trek thing, and beamed himself up.

Either way, he landed in a little town outside Oklahoma City. A dusty town which shall remain nameless, because it is small, and everyone knows everyone’s business.

There was an old man who was was suicidal. He is Cherokee. He was locked in his bathroom. He had the gun. He was going to do it. Really going to do it.

But then something warm washed all over him and told him, in an audible voice, “Don’t do it. Rachel drew you a picture.”

He stepped out of his bathtub when he heard the phone ring. It was his granddaughter. She was Facetiming him.

“Hey Grandpa,” said the 6-year-old child. “I called because I just drew you a picture.”

Her name is Rachel.

Then God then traveled to Oregon. The 33rd state. A state with rainforests, mountains and harsh deserts. God must have taken a pretty fast plane because he got there in just the nick of time.

There was a young man named Rob who was having a heart attack in his home. Rob is 26. He was standing in his hallway, and he was so scared. It’s not every day a 26-year-old collapses in his hallway, clutching his chest in terror.

“Don’t let me die, God,” Rob uttered.

When he woke up, he was in the ICU. The doctors said he had been dead for several minutes before they revived him.

His mother, who was sitting beside his hospital bed asked what he’d seen when he was clinically dead.

Rob said, “I just met my father.”

The young man’s father has been dead since he was a toddler. He’s only seen pictures.

“What did he say to you?” his mother asked.

“He said something about Baltimore, Maryland.”

His mother started crying.

“Why are you crying, Mom?” the kid asked.

“I never told you this, but your father asked me to marry him in Baltimore.”

Listen, I don’t know where this letter finds you tonight. I don’t know what you’re doing right now, or where you are spending Thanksgiving.

I don’t know whether you’re happy or sad. I don’t care whether you’re religious or not. Thanksgiving is one day away. And I don’t give the tiniest crap what you’ve heard, I want you to know that no matter who you are, no matter what you’ve done, God is your biggest fan.

I hope you have a happy Thanksgiving this year.

You are a blessing to the world. Sean! We love you ❤️❤️❤️

  2. Tawanah Fagan Bagwell - November 24, 2022 1:16 am

Our family’s newborn baby didn’t breathe the first 22 minutes after she was born. She had brain bleeds and would probably not develop normally. We are convinced that God was in Heaven blowing His breath into her mouth. She spent over 6 months in NICU at Children’s Hospital. She is 2 years old and there is no sign of cerebral palsy. She can walk without braces on her legs as the neurologist predicted. We know where God is, He is with our baby! I am so thankful to Him for all He has done!

God is so very good. Even when our own prayers are unanswered, He is the best friend a person can have. He oversees everything, which is why I do not pay a whole lot of attention to mainstream media and their nonsense. You have to believe to know God. It is the first thank you I say to Him every single day of my nearly 69 years of life. God Bless you Sean. Thank you for these wonderful stories.

Yes. I had an angel visit me when I was 10. And my darkest hour, it ( not a he or a she) said, don’t turn around… I come with a message to you. Although those who shout love you, sometimes don’t love you. But there is One who will always love you. Be at peace.. sleep. And I did.. but I have never forgotten the “ warmth without light, and the absolute feeling of peace.

  36. Pilgrim Jax FL - November 24, 2022 2:42 am

I know 3 families that are thankful this year.
I know He watches over me.
Ofttimes I forget He watches over all of His children the same way. Which teaches me I should care about others more than I do.
The 2nd greatest commandment is to love thy neighbor.

  40. David - November 24, 2022 2:53 am

Great article Sean, I’ve been to the other side, I died from complications from surgery but was brought back to life. When I saw Jesus we were walking down a beach, we stopped, he put his hand on my left shoulder, he said to me “ because I live you will see tomorrow “. The next thing I saw was my beautiful wife and daughters walking into my trauma ICU room. That was in 2017, I praise God everyday and very thankful for his love, grace and mercy.
I pray that you and your family have a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving.

  49. Dotty Lou Farias - November 24, 2022 3:35 am

Just beautifully written. Thank you again for a wonderful story. I cried when I read it. But sometimes I just don’t understand God, Our oldest son was murdered when he was 22. A year later our youngest daughter was killed by a drunk driver when she was 22. Four months after that we lost our home to hurricane Ivan. Then 3 years later my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer and I lost him 3 years later. I know God is our biggest champion and God is the only reason I am still here. I couldn’t have made it without God’s strength, yet sometimes I just wonder ….. I am thankful for so much, my family, my business my friends. I am blessed in so many ways, yet I wonder…..

And I can tell you from experience that over the last year of losing our best friend, my husband being diagnosed with lymphoma, a grandchild with special needs, and my best friend (the best friend that died, his wife) being diagnosed with breast cancer – guess what? – God is still there. He’s in the small and big details, the everyday miracles and the everyday heartaches.
Blessings to you, Jamie and your three beautiful puppies. Happy Thanksgiving

  81. Al - November 24, 2022 11:57 pm

God moments occur quite often and unexpectedly as you’ve said with these examples. I volunteer with special needs adults. They range in age from 22-65+. My daughter and I take 8-10 of them bowling 3 days a week. Most cannot bowl so we use ramps. Many are in wheelchairs and at best can only touch the ball on the ramp. God moments occur and we see them unfold..,they really occur in seconds and then are gone. I’ve seen numerous ones over the many years. God is with us every day all the time. We just need to believe, watch for them and celebrate.
